This group-based running course is designed for the unsporties among us. The course gets participants off the sofa and teaches them to run 5k or for half an hour in just 6 weeks. The course improves participants’ mental and physical wellbeing and helps them to lead happier and healthier lives. The 6-week course costs are £50 per person. That’s only £4 per class.

The course is designed to help absolute beginners or those who haven’t run in a while to get into running. The course is for people of all ages, sizes and abilities.
The course commits you to running 3 times per week: 2 group runs and 1 run by yourself.
We will begin with a mixture of running and walking and gradually but gently build up your fitness and strength.
Regular physical activity can decrease the risk of:
- heart disease
- type 2 diabetes
- cancer such as colon and breast cancer
- dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
- sleep quality
Physical activity is also a great stress reliever and can protect against bone diseases such as osteoporosis.

Dr Christina Fuhr is a certified leader in running fitness.
Christina is also a Sociologist at Cambridge University, whose expert knowledge about community building makes her a great running teacher.
Christina has a special interest in enabling people to change their lives for the better.
Dates and Times:
The next course starts on Tuesday the 27th of September 2016.
Group running sessions will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. starting for the most part from a location in central Cambridge.
The individual run should take place either on a Saturday or Sunday.
Week 1: 27th and 29th of September – plus we will do the first individual run together on Saturday at 9 a.m. to set you on your path.
Week 2: 4th and 6th of October
Week 3: 11th and 13th of October
Week 4: 18th and 20th of October
Week 5: 25th and 27th of October
Week 6: 1st and 3rd of November
